Grayson's Story...
Hello, Grayson here. I am an older male cat who has survived the rough life of the streets of Brattleboro, and I am looking for a new life in a home! I am sweet and shy and will do best with those special folks who will take a little extra time to help me adjust to my new life. I would likely do best as an only pet. However, I do like some other cats so with a slow paced introduction, I may be able to live with another. I am probably too shy for a home with dogs or small children. Won't you give me a second chance at happiness?

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grayson, a Brattleboro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
