BLAKE's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

BLAKE's Story...
Blake is a neutered male, approx. 1 yr. old. His adoption fee is $200. He has been fully vaccinated, tested for heartworms, neutered, given Interceptor for hw prevention and Frontline for flea/tick prevention. He is good with our dogs, except my female is the alpha dog and kinda bitchy so sometimes they get into it. He is just so high energy that he can drive them nuts, but they all like to play outside together. He is curious about my cats but does not chase them. He knows several commands, is kennel trained and walks well on a leash. He also loves balls and he will play for hours, even in the heat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BLAKE, a Overland Park Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
