Tweed-ADOPT PEND's Story...
Tweed:
Domestic Short Hair - Brown/Tabby Mix: An adoptable kitten in Franklin, WV!
7/12/11: Tweed is growing like a weed! Tweed the weed! His paws are already the size of an adult cat, so he will probably be larger than his 3 sisters.. He likes other cats and is very playful and loves to wrestle w/ his sisters. He is so tame he can be held on his foster mom's lap on his back and he just relaxes and purrs. If he is feeling active and playful, he wants to be picked up and held and run and play too. He is a sweet, purry kitten about 3 mos old w/ classic brown tabby coloration. He may be a bit shy with a new person at first, but only at first, until he gets to know you. He sits on her foster mom's lap and loves to be held and cuddled. Tweed is a clown and quite silly and comical in nature, loves to explore everything and hang out w/ people. He will be a very nice family companion or best buddy for a single person.

3/9/12: Tweed still needs a home! This kitty will be shown at the Harrisonburg VA PetCo on March 10th...stop by to meet Tweed!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tweed-ADOPT PEND, a Franklin Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Franklin, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Franklin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Franklin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Franklin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Franklin paves the way for another one to be saved.
