Cosmo's Story...
Hi! My name is Cosmo. I'm a really cute grey tabby color, most people say I'm just the prettiest cat ever!! I am a little shy but when I warm up to you, I'm very sweet and affectionate. I am used to letting my cagemate be the center of attention but if you give me a chance, I will show you that I can be one friendly guy! I have very striking features and my fur is very soft! If you would give me a chance, I could really make you a great lap cat! Please help me find a new home!! I would be forever grateful! Thanks to the Shelby County No Kill Mission, this pet will be altered, vaccinated, wormed, Feline Leukemia tested and micro chipped prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cosmo, a Shelbyville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
