Prophet's Story...
This handsome 3 year-old male has bad luck in keeping a home. After being in his second home for one week, it was determined he did not feel comfortable there as he continually paced and was fearful of the slick tile floors. Our original description of him stated he did not get along with other dogs in his first home, but after observation in his current foster home, it is obvious he likes other greyhounds! He is extremely affectionate toward people. He completely ignores cats. He would do fine in a home with other greyhounds and likely would do okay by himself, too. Please give this sweet boy a chance at proving himself as a loving and gentle companion. He loves toys and is fully house-broken.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prophet, a Albuquerque Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Albuquerque, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Albuquerque.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albuquerque already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albuquerque breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albuquerque paves the way for another one to be saved.
