Garfield's Story...
Garfield is a gorgeous and sweet, four to five-year-old, male, golden-eyed orange tabby cat looking for a loving guardian. Garfield was rescued by a cat-loving dog walker and says Garfield has made friends with all the dogs in his foster home – however, he doesn’t seem to enjoy the company of other cats. Garfield has a super sweet disposition, excellent litter box habits, and uses his scratching post. He is talkative with a high-pitched little meow. He loves to sit on the window sill and sleep in bed with his foster mom. He also loves water and can often be found hanging out in the sink. He loves to be brushed and held; he just melts into your arms. Garfield is healthy, neutered, micro-chipped, up-to-date on vaccines, de-wormed, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt him, please phone, e-mail or text his foster mom Kristine at kristine@kikisparkpals.com or 312-550-4545. His adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garfield, a Chicago Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
