SPENCER's Story...
Meet Spencer!

Spencer is a male black and white cat who was turned into the Romulus Animal Shelter by his owner(s) because unfortunately they were losing their home. Spencer came in with Bandit. The two boys were originally adopted out together as kittens and are now a year and a half old. Although these boys get along well together, it is not required that they get adopted together. Both boys are litter box trained and friendly. However, they are just a little nervous being at the shelter. After being in a home, trust me you would be nervous too. If you would like to learn more about Spencer or any of our cats, we recommend that you come to the shelter and spend some time with them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SPENCER, a Romulus Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Romulus, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Romulus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romulus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romulus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romulus paves the way for another one to be saved.
