Facts about Gunny

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Gray Or Blue (Mostly)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Gunny is an incredibly sweet boy. We're not sure how he ended up living outside scavenging in trash cans or how he ended up with a nail in his paw, but thru it all he has maintained his very sweet, gentle demeanor. Now that he is recovered from his "past" he would love to find a permanent home where he can hang out and get lots of cuddles. Gunny would make a great only pet companion in a quiet home. We estimate that Gunny was born about February 19, 2010.

Gunny had been adopted and recently returned to us because he 'didn't adjust' to his new home. We found out that they had several other male cats and territory issues over space. So we really must insist that Gunny be an ONLY cat! Sadly, when he was returned he was also 'hand-shy' which had never been an issue before. Gunny loves attention, but when he is done he expects you to be done too. He will swat as a warning that he is not interested anymore.

Gunny requires a home where he will never be declawed, or allowed to go outside. He has tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up to date with his vaccines. Gunny is also neutered and microchipped.

About Shadow Cat Advocates

About Our Rescue Group...

Shadow Cat Advocates exists to provide assistance to all the abandoned and forgotten cats and kittens that live all around us. We are a 501c3 non-profit and all donations to our organization are deductible to the extent allowed by IRS laws. We have no office expenses, no salaries, and our volunteers all work for FREE and pay their own expenses. Without volunteers, our mission would be meaningless. We are looking for additional volunteers. Are you willing to foster a cat for a short period, become a caretaker, help trap, or assist in one of our fundraising event? Shoot us an email as any help you can offer will be met with a huge THANK YOU! Be sure to go to our web site to find out more about our organization: www.shadowcatadvocates.org

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a “store front” as all fostering is done in a home environment. To schedule an appointment to visit the cats or kittens, please give us a call at (571) 408-9626.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees vary based on the veterinary care the cat has received prior to adoption. We will do a vet check to make sure the pet(s) you have currently or previously in your home have received adequate and yearly veterinary visits. A lifetime care contract and home visit are part of the adoption process.
