Whitney's Story...
Whitney is saving all her love for you! Her former owners moved and couldn’t take her along – so sad. She lived outside for awhile fending for herself, confused as to what had happened to her family. But a nice neighbor brought her to Friends For Life and we’re helping her find a forever (and we mean forever this time) home. She loves people and likes to snuggle and sleep with you. She is talkative and playful and likes to be held. If you need help getting ready in the morning she’ll be sure and supervise you from her spot in the bathroom sink! Do you seek affection? I do! If you also like petting, purrs, and paws kneading your lap, I think we might have a LOT in common. I'm looking for "someone who enjoys quiet times and togetherness." Could that someone be you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whitney, a Houston Bombay cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bombay for sale in Houston, or seeking a Bombay cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bombay breeders who help with Bombay rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
