DOB: June 2005 || BREED/COLORING: Purebred American Bulldog / White with small black spots || SIZE: Bella Bunny weighs about 90lbs and is full grown || HISTORY: Bella Bunny was a puppy mill breeder mommy who has spent her whole life in a small cage giving birth to puppies. The puppy mill was busted by Animal Control and rescue groups stepped up and saved all of the mommy dogs. || PERSONALITY: Bella Bunny is a super sweet and kissy dog. She is really interested in being in your lap - if you can believe that! She is very people-oriented even though she has been ignored and mistreated for years. She is a bit shy sometimes, but learns to love you very quickly. She is definitely a volunteer favorite. || TRAINING: This girl has spent her whole life in a cage, so housebreaking will need to be worked on. She needs a doggie door and a yard and will learn quickly. She is FANTASTIC on leash but because her back legs have been affected by a life in a cage (she's bowlegged), she should not go on walks too much. || WOULD DO BEST: Bella Bunny would do best in a home with a family that has a lot of time to show her love and attention in her Golden years. She wants to be part of the family - she has never known family :( She needs a large yard, a big doggie bed and doggie door. || VET RECORD: Currently vaccinated and microchipped. Bella Bunny has "cage legs" in the back from spending so much time confined in a small space. It looks like she is bowlegged. Her back legs don't work well for climbing or getting into cars... but she does her best and doesn't mind us helping her. Bella is beyond her breeding years so she is not yet spayed. Prior to her getting a retirement home we will ask our vet to evaluate whether it is safe to spay her at her age. || CATS/DOGS/KIDS: She is a bit defensive with other dogs at first, but does play great with male dogs at least 40lbs in size. She would be absolutely fantastic with kids. || AVAILABILITY: This dog is available for adoption now and is being fostered or kenneled in the San Fernando Valley area. Please email us and we will send you an adoption application.
