Mcgruff's Story...
Looking for a beagle that adores being outside and romping with other playful dogs? McGruff is your guy! This 5 year old cutie spent the first part of his life in biomedical research and he is now having a blast in the real world.
His housetraining is coming along nicely and he is mistake free when kept on a schedule. He rides nicely in the car and loves being held. On walks, he cant wait to meet new people and other dogs and eagerly looks around each corner hoping to find a new friend.
He has his moments of zoomies in the house, but overall, is happy to hang out and take daily snoozes. He LOVES his bed and sleeps beautifully through the night in a dog bed next to his foster family.
He is a little skittish in his foster home, but is making strides in trusting his new environment. McGruffs perfect home would be one with another dog and/or a fenced yard so he can run and play or at least have occasional play...

He is hoping for a home with little crate time as he is making up for lost time. He is looking for a family that will give him plenty of time and love as he settles into his new home. He eagerly awaits his forever home.

About Our Rescue Group...
We are the co-founders and volunteers of Cascade Beagle Rescue-East who have branched off to better serve the needs of beagles here on the East Coast.

Beagle Rescue League, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation formed for the purpose of rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing unwanted beagles. Our beagles find their way into our program through many venues – from shelters, research facilities, and with the help of animal control officers. All of our dogs are brought up to date on vaccinations, and we make sure they are heartworm negative, neutered/spayed and micro-chipped before they go to their forever homes.

Every dog is fostered in a private home and we try our very best to match pets and new owners based on the the proper fit for both parties.

Come Meet Our Pets...
Since we do not have a physical kennel facility, and our dogs are in private foster homes, we are not able to accommodate visits. Please visit our website for upcoming events which may showcase some available beagles. In general, though, adopters need to go through the adoption process in order to have a meeting scheduled with an available beagle in its foster home.
Our Adoption Process...
We have a thorough adoption process requiring an online adoption application, personal, veterinary, and landlord reference checks, as well as a phone interview. Dogs are matched with adopters based on what the adopter indicates they are looking for, and based on what we feel would best suit our available dogs. An in person visit is required with all family members at the dog's foster home. (Dogs will not be shipped to adopters.)

Our adoption fee is $250 for adult beagles.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Beagle Rescue League serves New Jersey and the Eastern Pennsylvania areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mcgruff, a Yardley Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Yardley, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Yardley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yardley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yardley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yardley paves the way for another one to be saved.
