My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 10-31-2011: Unity says "Happy Halloween!" Our next Meet N Greet will be November 12th. We will be in Nixa or Branson. If you are interested in meeting her contact us.

UPDATE 10-5-2011: Unity is ready for her forever home! She wants so much to be loved and have one on one attention. She is well behaved in the house, she's not a chewer, she jumps when really excited but if you turn your back and ignore her she stops and sits and waits for you to pet her. The few times she's been around children she was gentle and liked the attention they gave. Adopt this sweetie and you won't be disappointed...

8-17-2011 : Unity is such an easy keep. She is completely potty trained and crate trained. Honestly she probably doesn't even need to be kept in a crate, she is fine in a room with a comfy dog bed to lay in. She does like to guard the house, so she barks out the window when someone gets close, but listens very well when told to be quiet. She loves to play fetch and we are working on "drop it". She walks great on a leash, and doesn't pull. This sweet girl has just one fault though. She is still unpredictable with other dogs. We have her in a basic training class right now to help her social skills, but she might just have to go to home where she's the only dog. So if you want a fun playful smart boxer that you can spoil as an "only child" Unity is the dog for you!

Update 7-6-2011 : Unity is slowly settling in to family life. Since she had been in a kennel SO long she didn't get the chance to develop her doggie social skills, therefore she is a little unsure of the two boxers and yorkie in her foster home. She loves people though and wants to play and get attention like a typical young boxer. She does very well in her crate and doesn't have accidents in there or in the house. Her social skills will improve with time and we will continue to learn more about her, so check for updates regularly.

Unity was just transferred to us from a local boarding kennel where she was abandoned for EIGHT months. She is being seen by our vet and moving to a foster home where they will work on home manners and help her transition from a kennel life to a family life. Unity is a white boxer but is able to hear. She is a muscular, active girl. Once we know more about her personality, we will update her profile.
