Barney's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Barney's Story...
Barney is a five year old spunky three legged doxie. He does not let the fact that he has three legs slow down at all. He gets around just fine. He goes up and down stairs and stands up on the side of the bed to let you know he wants to sleep with you. Barney is only about 9 pounds and is super affectionate. He is fine with other dogs but really does not play with them and he barks at cats. That is the only time he barks though. He just wants to sit in a lap or next to you and snuggle. He is perfect for a senior or an apartment. His adoption fee is $150 but we do offer a senior or military discount.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Rosemount Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Rosemount, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Rosemount.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rosemount already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rosemount breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rosemount paves the way for another one to be saved.
