My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted 2011; unavailable. Original bio below:
Louis is a 2 year old, 9 lb. male Yorkshire Terrier. This adorable, devoted dog was abandoned by his original owner & was not treated well by them. When we first came to us, Louis was scared & shy. But after being in his foster home for just a couple of days, he's a different dog. Louis is happy, friendly, playful, & acting like any young Yorkie. He loves playing with other small dogs & even does well with bigger K9s. He's also great with older children. He's following his foster Mom all around the house & is almost 100% potty trained (outdoors). Louis is VERY sweet & wants to touch his humans when you're sitting, laying or even standing. He'll lean up against his foster Mom when she's cooking or doing other chores in the house. Louis is gentle in nature & has an excellent temperament. He would be happiest in a home with at least 1 other small dog to play with him. He'll be fine with a family who has children (12 years & up who have dog experience & know how to properly treat a small dog). Louis is neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, groomed, treated for fleas/parasites, microchipped, & will have a dental by our vet soon. He's a little thin & needs to gain some weight so he'll be bigger than 9 lbs. when he's at a healthy weight. His adoption donation is $410 & includes his lifetime microchip registration cost. If you can give this precious Yorkie boy the kind of loving forever home he needs, please click here to read our adoption guidelines & then complete an application: Adoption Guidelines. Thank you for choosing to adopt!
