Jax's Story...
Jax: Hi, My name is Jax. I am a 6 week old Labrador Retriever Mix. I am extremely playful, very small still, and mischievous. I give kisses with my awesome puppy breath as well. I will have a definite no fear personality when I grow up because I’m a bit of a dare devil now. I just played in the water hose on the porch and LOVED it. I was originally dropped off at the shelter by a good Samaritan that found me wandering alone. I was infested with fleas and I’ve lost a lot of hair in spots where those pesky fleas were eating me alive. The shelter cleaned me up and I was then rescued from Bainbridge, GA by FARR on 7/21/11. They flew me to Tampa where I’m looking for my new home. I am currently fostered in Palm Harbor with Danielle. If you are interested, please send an email to flretrieverrescue@yahoo.com with my name in the subject line. The $200 covers my 1st two shots, 2 dewormers and neuter fees. You can also check out all of the other foster dogs and puppies that the FARR (Florida All Retriever and Friends Rescue) have currently fostered around the Tampa Bay area by visiting Adopt-A-Pet http://www.adoptapet.com/adoption_rescue/75598.html or Pet Finder http://www.petfinder.com/pet-search?shelter_id=FL466c . Thank you for your interest.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jax, a Largo Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Largo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
