Zeke's Info...

I am purebred, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Zeke's Story...
Zeke is a 1 year old purebred Golden Retriever -- a typical happy, active Golden boy! He loves to snuggle in bed (on your pillow if you let him!) and on the couch. He's good on leash . . . until he sees a rabbit, and then he'd really like to go "play" with it!

Zeke gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with them too. He is an all star fetcher and will bring the ball and drop it at your feet when he's ready to play again! In addition to being a wonderful fetch player, Zeke also knows "sit" and "shake." Zeke is fine around children, especially those who like to play fetch! We have been watching him closely around our cat. Cats are a "no" unless they are super confident and will not run away. Zeke is really curious but backs away when he gets too close . . . but our cat just sits and stares at him, even when he lunges she doesn't move!

Zeke is fine with free roam in our home when we are gone. A 1 year old who's okay w free roam . . crazy huh!! He is such a good boy. We will will miss him but Zeke is ready to find his active, fun-loving forever family

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeke, a Denver Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
