Harry's Story...
Harry is one of a litter of 6 that we currently have in our program. The litter is Lucy's boxer/shepherd mix puppies and they were born on 9/27/06. Harry has been learning a lot from his foster brother and sister! He tries to copy them when they are playing(and they play hard) an will try and jump right in the middle of it all. Even though, at times, he gets run over, he shakes it off and goes right back. Harry is crate trained and will go in without a fuss and lay down right away to take his nap, but will whimper when he wakes and if someone gets him right outside, he'll do his business like a big boy! Harry sleeps very well on a dog bed next to his foster mom's bed all night and is pretty good at entertaining himself until she gets up in the morning. Trudy, Harry's foster mom, is working on learning what a leash is next. Harry is quite the curious one and will want to be right where the action is! We believe these pups will likely grow to be large dogs, so please consider this when applying to adopt. Harry is currently being fostered by Trudy in Jacksonville.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry, a Tallahassee Boxer/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Boxer/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Boxer/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
