Lady Daphne's Story...
GRR was part of a rescue mission in Fort Myers with other rescue groups "Sunshine Rescue". We rescued thirty breeder bunnies (sixteen we took into our rescue and we transported fourteen to another rescue). These bunnies lived a lonely life in wire cages, no comfort, no amenities, and no one-on-one contact with people.

Lady Daphne although purebred and beautiful, is a shy and skiddish little two and a half year old girl. We are allowing her to run loose in a bunny pen, have social interaction with people and she is engaging in regular day-to-day bunny activities.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Daphne, a Williston Lionhead was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lionhead for sale in Williston, or seeking a Lionhead from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lionhead breeders who help with Lionhead rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
