Dolly's Story...
This beautiful cat would love a home to call her own. Dolly came to the shelter as a very scared cat who hid in the corner for weeks. She was placed in a foster home for several months where she was able to get the one-on-one attention that she needed. She has since returned to the shelter as a friendly girl who loves to be petted, although she still doesn't like to be picked up. She has come a long way since her first days at the shelter. She gets along with the other cats and would do well in a quiet home without small children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dolly, a Clinton Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Clinton, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Clinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Clinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Clinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Clinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
