My name is Lloyd!

Golden Retriever/Chow Chow Mix Dog for adoption in Portland, Oregon - Lloyd

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Lloyd's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Lloyd's Story...
Big, burly and Orange, I am a stunning mix of Lab or Golden, Chow and maybe some Rottie. Im the strong silent type... easy to please and easy to love. At 5 years old, I dont need too much activity, just a spot in the middle of the floor to feel important and be a part of the scene. I love other dogs, Ive been around lots of people big and small, and besides eating & sleeping my favorite thing on earth would have to be the beach (I go really crazy when I smell salt water). People have called me Teddy Bear, Chick Magnet, Top Dog, etc.... but basically the name says it all: LLOYD. If you are interested in meeting/adopting Lloyd please contact his foster home directly - Call (503)922-2444 or Email jbeckl@mac.com
--this dog has not been evaluated by FDNLS, this is a courtesy posting--

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lloyd, a Portland Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Portland, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
