My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NOTE: Quincy is not available yet. He and his foster mom are working together on his separation anxiety. Quincy will need a forever family who have a doggy sibling for him. He also needs a forever person who is home during the day (working from home or retired) and who will enjoy his company and bring him along when they are out and about, and seldom leave him home alone.
**************************************************

Quincy is a purebred Golden Retriever. He is 6 years old and so easy to love. Quincy's original family had older children. He enjoys other dogs very much. He will thrive in a forever family with another dog. "Please be sure my new family has a doggy sister or brother for me."

Quincy is having a ball with his GRFR foster family. He wrote the following postcard to everyone who reads his bio:

Hi Everyone! Having a wonderful vacation here with the foster family so far. There are 5 acres where I get to run free, no Leash! Yesterday I even chased a couple of deer until Foster Mom called me and I stopped. We had a great walk out there this morning and I got to stretch my long legs a bit.

Accommodations are pretty good. Regular meals, if a bit skimpy. (They had watermelon rind for an appetizer this morning; blech!)

Not a crate in sight, let alone someone trying to put me in one. Found my familiar comfy bed near Foster Mom's bed at night, and she gave me something she'd worn that day to sleep with. I slept really well.

They have 2 kitties here! I follow them around the house; they don't seem to mind much.

We had a couple thunderstorms here yesterday only an hour after I got here!. Thank goodness she didn't try to put that thunder thingie on me. Must be my other Foster Mom warned her that I hate that thing. Instead, I crawled up into her lap and hid my face under her elbow while she sang quietly to me and stroked me until my muscles relaxed a bit. It was nice. Both times when the thunder got farther away I got off her lap and crawled between her chair and the wall and took a nap there. There are a whole lot of computer cables down in there, but I was careful and didn't pull anything out ... although backing out of that place is a bit of a stumper.

I'm going to go follow the cats for a while now.

Love, Quincy
