We've all heard about dogs being chained up outside but what about cats? Unfortunately, thats something Sweet Pea has experienced in her young life. Sweet Pea and her mom Ellie were rescued by an elderly woman who already had a male cat in her home. Her male cat was not fixed and neither were the girls so she didnt want them in her house together. But she also didnt want Sweet Pea and Ellie roaming around outside. Her solution was to keep the girls confined outside to a large wire kennel. And when they werent in the kennel, she essentially had them chained outside. The woman was about to move into a retirement home and could only take her male cat but she wanted to get them all fixed. Since she had very limited income and resources, she contacted a local animal welfare organization for assistance. They came and picked up the cats and brought them to a local spay/neuter clinic. Sweet Pea and Ellie both had wounds and hair loss around their necks from being chained up outside. Fortunately, after the girls were spayed, they were both taken into a rescue organization so they could be placed for adoption. Sweet Pea is one kitty who definitely lives up to her name. She is a super affectionate kitty who loves attention! She enjoys being near her foster mom every chance she gets. And shes a young adult so she still has a playful and energetic side. Sweet Pea enjoys the company of her mom Ellie but doesnt necessarily have to be adopted with her. She gets along well with other kittens but would probably be fine as only cat, so long as she is the object of someones attention and affections!
Sweet Pea was born approximately on 12.7.10, is spayed, FIV, Feline Leukemia & Heartworm negative, current on vaccinations & microchipped. Her adoption fee is $80
