Just wanted to let you know that the sweet, little boy from Angleton is settling in nicely, and Aixa is being a great hostess (gentle and playful, but not quite understanding that he needs more rest than she does). We're calling him Rolf. Health-wise, he's quite skinny, but his energy is good considering, and he's eating well so far. Pretty sure he has worms of some kind or another, but we'll get that taken care of quickly. He's smart, affectionate, curious, and brave. I'll be interested to hear the vet's age estimate because his teeth seem pretty developed. He had a quick bath this afternoon which he handled like a champ. I expect him to be a friendly, clever, super ball of energy once he gets some muscle back on.

If you are interested in adopting Rolf, please go to our website, copy, paste and complete our adoption application. Email the application to gsdrescuectx@yahoo.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rolf, a Dripping Springs German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Dripping Springs, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Dripping Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dripping Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dripping Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dripping Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
