Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barbie is a very sweet, gentle and timid, two-year-old, 40-pound, red and white female Pit Bull Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. She was found as a stray and was to be euthanzied at a high kill shelter. Barbie gets along very well with other dogs and would do best with another dog in the home. She is a little shy and unsure of herself and she needs a dog-lover to train her and help her boost her confidence. Barbie appears to be housebroken, and is crate-trained.
Barbie is healthy, spayed, heartworm-tested, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines. To meet and possibly adopt her, foster her, or take her into your rescue group please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued pets. She is currently living in a kennel in Steger, Illinois, and would love to move to a home setting.
If you are not able to foster or adopt....you can still help by "SPONSORING" Barbie and making a donation at the following link to help us continue to keep her safe in paid boarding until a foster or adoptive home can be found: http://luckydogs.chipin.com/sponsor-barbie
