Diamond Lil's Story...
Diamond Lil is a fawn 3 yr old with natural ears. She LOVES her toys, constantly wants to snuggle and is quiet in the house. Diamond would love to have a playmate and seems to like all big dogs once she gets used to them. She has very low prey drive, so will most likely get along fine with smaller dogs as well(she ignored a couple of poodles and puppies). She has not been around cats or children so far, and may be a bit too active for small children. She is house trained, crate trained and rides well in the car once she settles down. She does get overly excited when you bring out the leash though! Diamond is very smart, picked up the dog door easily and has the basic commands but will need more training to reinforce those commands outside. (She tends to explore the yard and will come when called on her own time).

DAR&E only places within the Maryland, DC, West Virginia and Virginia area. Please do no apply to adopt if you live outside of those areas. Please visit our website (www.dobe.net) for additional information on adopting one of our DAR&E Dobermans & an online application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diamond Lil, a Arlington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
