Say hello to Zeke. Zeke is the biggest bundle of joy in the smallest package I have ever met. This boy will not disappoint you. Even on his darkest day Zeke showed nothing but love to everyone and everything that he came in contact with. You see Zeke was in horrible shape when Rescue was called to the pound to look at him. Discarded like a piece of trash with ulcers in both eyes (one having to be removed immediately) and in tremendous pain all Zeke cared about was pleasing the person that was holding him. That was over a month ago. Now with a clean bill of health and his remaining eye 100% healthy Zeke is looking for his forever family. Not just any family will do, you must be willing to make Zeke the center of your universe. He deserves nothing less. There really isn?t anything that can be said negatively about Zeke and his foster family will contest to that. He has been the perfect angel. Even those ?non dog? people have fallen in love and said this would be a dog that I would adopt . He is a very active little guy and don?t think having one eye makes a difference to him. He has adjusted like a champ and you would never even know he has one eye until you look real close. He is a great walker and puts dogs twice his size to shame with his pace. He is not one that has to stop and sniff every two minutes but does do the occasional pee on this bush or that tree along the way. He enjoys car rides and is the first one at the garage door. He loves his squeakee toys and will provide endless hours of entertainment running around squeaking them all over the house. He will even throw them up in the air for added amusement. Zeke is one of those dogs that just melts into you whenever you hold him. As active as he is one minute the next you can find him chewing a nylabone or laying tummy side up snoozing on a dog bed. Oh and those belly rubs are a favorite and welcome anytime it is offered. You can?t help but smile whenever he is around. There isn?t a day that goes by that I don?t look at Zeke and get the biggest smile on my face and my soul is warmed to the depth with happiness. The family that makes Zeke a permanent part of their family will be hitting the jackpot, no doubt about it! To learn more, please fill out an application at www.azrescue.org.
