Zippy's Story...
My name is Zippy and I’m a HART rescued kitten. I was born April 9th of 2011. I’m spayed and micro-chipped, as well as up-to-date on my vaccinations. I’m a beautiful, black Domestic Short Hair, with a bit of white on my belly. HART kindly took me in with my litter mates and we are available for adoption.

I’m a good girl, and a little shy, and adjusting to life indoors with my litter mates. We were living outdoors until my momma was hit by a car and died. HART was kind enough to take us in. It’s pretty nice at my foster’s house - there is always a bowl of kitten chow available for us to munch on, fresh water, and lots of fun toys to play with. I have a brother and two sisters that I love to play with. We especially like to play with the jingly balls and the furry mouse. We also like to play the shoestring game, but my Calico sister hogs the game. So sometimes, I’ll just take a nap instead. As much as I like my temporary home, I sure would like to find a permanent, forever home with you!

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

Please complete an online Cat Adoption Application so we can put you in touch with this feline's foster family so you can meet. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zippy, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
