Duke's Story...
Duke is a male, 3 year old, black, Labrador Retriever that was recently rescued. He had been living for the last 5 months in a small enclosure that did not allow him roon to exercise.

Duke is a sweet dog that had owners that did not give him much training. He needs a patient owner that will work to train him and give him room to get exercise.

Duke is a very smart boy and learns quickly.

Please come to visit this lovable dog and take him for a walk. You will see that he is going to make a great addition to the right family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Peconic Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Peconic, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Peconic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Peconic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Peconic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Peconic paves the way for another one to be saved.
