Hi. My name is Hyde. I'm a sweet boy and I'm coming out of my shell more and more each day. My mom moved to Australia a few years ago and left me with the kind people at AAT. I was pretty traumatized at first and spent my days hiding any place that I thought I wouldn't be discovered. However, I'm a snuggle bug at heart and I really missed having my tummy rubbed. I realized the kind AAT lady wasn't so bad and although it took a while, you'll now find me cozying up next to her on the couch. I have huge emerald eyes and she can't resist when I look up at her begging for a tummy rub. I'm still a little skittish and will run away if I hear loud noises, and still hide when strangers are in the house. I don't like to be picked up or sit on laps, but I do like to rest my head on you while you rub me all over.

I also love to be brushed and as soon as I see the brush come out I'm first in line for a full body massage. I get along with all the other cats in my foster home. I don't think I'd like dogs or kids too much as they make lots of sudden movements. When I don't think anyone is looking I'll pretend to be a kitten again and kick the cat toys around the house. If you catch me playing though I will deny any such activities... I'm big boy you see. I'm a bit of a kleenex thief, and if you leave one lying around the house overnight you may just find it in my water bowl the next day.

I'm looking for a forever family that has lots of patience for me as it will take some time for me to adjust again. When I do come out of my shell, I will be your loyal, tummy loving buddy forever.

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110.
