My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alaska (aka: "laska-laska") a very calm, laid back male sibe unless it’s time to go for a walk. He gets so excited that he’s earned the nickname "Happy Feet!"

Alaska was found as a stray and came into rescue in mid April. Due to circumstances beyond our control, his previous caregivers saw the need to shave all of his fur! Yes, this little man was completely bald except for his head and paws. As a result, he was much too embarrassed to have his picture displayed. He has now grown some fur and is more comfortable being introduced.

His little paws have really seen some miles but he is now basking in a better life in rescue. His eyes will tell you "I’m very cute and lovable (and I give kisses too). Can I come home with you?" Alaska will be a beautiful boy when his wooly red and white coat fully returns. He does have some separation anxiety so he will need a constant companion (either human or canine). He also is very fearful of thunder and lightening but his foster mom is working on methods to ease his fear. In addition, he will require thyroid medication twice daily which is quite inexpensive. His last vet check showed normal thyroid levels and he will need follow-up every 6 to 8 months to be sure he stays on track.
