Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet MISHA! A fine specimen of the Akita breed of dog. Her name means "Little Bear" in Russian, and that truly is what she is but with a minor adjustment to the wild nature part of a bear - because this girl is all "Teddy Bear" waiting to be loved on by her very own family again.
MISHA was rescued from a high-kill shelter after her owners passed and no one else in the family wanted her. MISHA is very laid back and has an easy-going temperament. She is one sweet - natured girl. MISHA likes all people and other dogs and would make a devoted and loyal companion. She would also be a patient friend and protector for children.
MISHA is crate trained and house trained and is easy to handle on a lead. She rides in the back seat of a car like she's on a Sunday drive. MISHA is an excellent "house dog" and would be an excellent walking partner.
MISHA is currently being boarded at a kennel and stays remarkably clean and fresh doing so, but it is due to her breed. She will shed her thick undercoat twice a year but daily shedding is minimal. MISHA weighs approx. 95 lbs. and is estimated to be 6-7 years old. MISHA is spayed, up-to-date on her shots, is heartworm neg., and on preventative.
MISHA's adoption fee is $150.00. Contact Trish at ppace@mac.com to meet this beautiful girl. Please include information about yourself, family, other pets, work hours, etc. A home visit is required for this dog.
