October's Story...
October is a beautiful, happy, very sweet, well-mannered, friendly, playful and loving, three-year-old, 50-pound, female, red brindle and white American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a loving guardian. Found as a stray in Missouri in February, she has been living in a kennel in West Chicago. October enjoys jogging, running along side as you bike, and taking walks. She enjoys the company of other dogs and already knows basic commands. October is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. To meet and possibly foster/adopt her, contact JJ at jojoann1c3@sbcglobal.net or 708-652-3475. She is currently kenneled in West Chicago, Illinois, and would love a real home and family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

October, a Chicago American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
