Ferdinand's Story...
My mom and dad were left behind when their owners moved away. So my brother Magellian (listed separately) and I were born in the back yard. The new owners moved in and helped us. They had mom, dad, Magellian and me all spayed and neutered. And then they asked for help in finding us forever homes. So here we are!

We had a bit of a rough start but we're doing very well now. I even have a new BFF - Emmy! A lovely girl kitty who's also looking for a home. We'll be forever grateful if you choose one of us (or both, now that would be cool!) to come live with you. Ferdinand is about two years old (Sept 2010), a very sweet boy and he's grown into a beautiful, confident youngster after his rough start. You can meet-and-greet to get to know the cat of your choice or meet several cats to choose from at scheduled adoption events Saturday or Sunday afternoon at Tractor Supply Company Concord NC Please email for event schedule at, or Visit us on FB at Friends for Life Cat Adoptions. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ferdinand, a Harrisburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
