LEONARDO. Special Guy. Leo is a great dog, but he does have some issues. NO CATS for sure! And he is a big active fellow, so needs large fenced yard, not an apartment. AND he really has an issue with BIG DOGS. He goes pretty nuts when he meets them on walks. And so adopter cannot have other dogs who are Large. Need savvy adopter.Fine with dogs his own size. Gentle with humans, and oh so playful -- loves to chase his toys. He is not food aggressive. He will give you kisses for thanks. He wants to be a lap dog. Need doxie savvy adopter as Leo can be a bit hard to handle since he is a small standard/large tweenie.
Personality Plus! Come meet this beautiful white and red long-haired tweenie dachshund. He's only a pup, 23 months old. Leo knows his basic commands and is a clever tyke -- able to open certain door knobs with his mouth and paws. Leo loves playing with his toys, and of course sleeping with you in the big bed. Kids 12 or older OK. =====The adoption fee is $295, no exceptions. The fees include spay/neuter, rabies, dhpp, bordetella, pyrantel, advantage treatment, grooming including nails, as well as complete exam at our doxie vet. Each dog comes with all new doxie halter, new toys and blankets. All in all, an investment greater than the adoption fee. Please go to www.odr-inc.org. Oregon Dachshund Rescue Inc. is a 501 c3 non profit with 25 years experience of rescuing Dachshunds. My goal is to provide homes for unwanted, special needs and abandoned Dachshunds. I do not breed or sell Dachshunds for a profit. I receive into rescue 1 to 3 doxies PER DAY. Before adoption all of my rescues are spayed and neutered, made current on rabies, DHPP, bordetella, fecal and dental if needed. The rescues are also groomed, nails done and one month Advantage treatment. I take great pride in finding wonderful forever homes for my rescue Dachshunds. My criteria is very strict because I want to insure the safety and future of each one of these very special rescues. I do not give refunds of any kind for any reason but will offer an exchange for another Dachshund, if you choose. The dog's character, health and physical condition represented by this Rescue is in good faith. The new owner(s) must agree to release, hold harmless and forever discharge Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. from any and all claims arising from adoption of any of our rescue Dachshunds.

The adoption fee depends on several factors and runs from $250.00 to $350.00. This fee includes spay, neuter, rabies DHPP, bordetella, fecal, advantage, grooming, nails and dental if needed. Adoption fees pay the veterinary bills.
