Mister's Story...
Hi! My name is Mister and I’m a 2-year-old hound dog/pointer mix. I was born to hunt but so far no one has taught me the finer points of the sport. I have lots and lots of energy and need someone willing to spend the time to train me how to put all this energy to good use. Do you like playing Frisbee? If so, then I’m the dog for you. I love to fetch, so even if your aim’s not perfect, that’s okay. Need a running or hiking partner or like to hang out at the dog park? That sounds like great fun to me. As long as I can run off some of this energy, that would be great!
I was brought to the Meridian Valley Humane Society as a stray and though the people here are great, I really need room to run. I am up to date on all my shots, but unfortunately I still need to be neutered, so it would be a few days before you could take me home, but I’ll be worth the wait.
So, if you have lots of energy, lots of time and patience to teach me things, then please come and meet me at the Meridian Valley Humane Society. I’m going to be a loyal and obedient hunting and camping companion when I grow up, just wait and see

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mister, a Meridian Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Pointer/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
