My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Lena Loo and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself in the hopes of finding my furever family. I am a 7 year old female English bulldog with a beautiful squishy face and no tail!! I am brindle and white and my birthday is Jan 2, 2004. I came into IEBR because my family, whom Ive lived with my entire life, didnt like my behavior with their 2 new pups and brought me to the vet to have me euthanized, whatever that is. The vet called this rescue place called Illinois English Bulldog Rescue, and they found a foster home for me. When I got to my foster moms house I met my 2 and 3 year old furster sister and brother, we got acquainted and get along really well. My foster mom calls me her sweety and I love when she rubs my head, ears and belly. I have quite a svelte shape and weigh about 40lbs. I am active for an older girl and I absolutely LOVE to chase my ball when you throw it for me and I will bring it back. I used to do that a lot with my skin brothers. My foster mom says its my security blanket because I have it in my mouth a lot, but I do play with all the other toys they have here and its fun. I am crate trained and house broken. I will eat most all treats but really like carrots. My paws get itchy sometimes. Ive heard I might have something called allergies so I get some good grain free food for that and it seems to be working. When I came into rescue my ears were filthy!! My foster mom has been cleaning them regularly and tells me what a good girl I am for sitting so patiently as she cleans them. She also talks to me about when I was younger and that my vet records said I used to get UTIs (urinary tract infections). She has had me checked and I dont have them now so she makes sure I get lots of water to drink!! I guess that helps. I am spayed and up to date on all my shots. Oh, and the reason my tail had to be removed is because it was ingrown and infected. Anyway, if you would like me for your very own, please go to the IEBR web site and fill out an application: www.ilenglishbulldogrescue.org Love and licks, Lena Loo UPDATE FROM Lena Loo's Foster family: Lena is doing great! She is such a cool dog. We went for a walk yesterday and Lena insisted on bringing her ball. She carried it with her the whole way, even when she had to potty. It was too cute and people were commenting on her the whole walk. She kept wanting to greet everyone!
