Kamakaze's Story...
Part of a litter that was found as their mother was giving birth on the side of the road in North Carolina, Kamakaze and his five siblings have been in rescue since they born. Kamakaze is VERY friendly and extremely social with people, other dogs, and cats. He was injured at only one week of age, and as a result of two sets of stitches and subsequent staples, he has a scar on his side where the hair has grown back black instead of red. We are still working on house training, but he comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and with a lifetime of support through rescue. There will be a $150 deposit in addition to the adoption fee that will be refunded in full after the puppy has been spayed/neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kamakaze, a Virginia Beach Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
