Farris's Story...
Farris here, the type of fella you’re sure to cherish! I am scruffy and fluffy and a real toughie…tough when it comes to finding love. I’m a real stickler and insist on finding only true love, lasting love, love that comes straight from the heart. Now where do I start? Should I tell you how friendly and affectionate I am? Or should I talk about how well I do with other dogs, or that I am good with cats. Maybe I should tell you that I am fun and playful and I do just fine with children 4+? What if I start with a little background…me and bro Harris where found running the streets on the 4th of July, I am about 7 years old and still very spry. Sure, Farris and Harris would love to find a home together, but what’s most important is that we each get the true and lasting love that we deserve. So if we have to go to separate families there will be no need for apologies, just so long as you cherish this sweet lil Farris! 7 years old-25lbs. My adoption fee is $140 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Farris, a Portland Scottie, Scottish Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottie, Scottish Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Scottie, Scottish Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottie, Scottish Terrier breeders who help with Scottie, Scottish Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
