Scooter's Story...
This wonder boy came to us through a family that rescued him from his owner, who wanted to shoot him. After years of neglect and abuse, he was 40 lbs overweight. Once here at the Sanctuary, we put him on a regular meal routine and with several walks a day, has already lost 20 lbs. It's amazing what a little love and attention will do. He is now extremely happy chasing the rabbits and birds . His owner didn't care for him very well and would end up leaving him with friends for months at a time. He didn't receive proper nutrition or have regular exercise. He was just left in backyards by himself for weeks at a time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooter, a Chandler Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Chandler, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
