My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skye is a young Rottie who has lots of energy. Her age is estimated to be between 1 and 2 ears old. While she has a lot of energy, she also is responsive and will submit and look for some petting when touched or spoken to. Her submissive qualities were not fearful or nervousness. During handling, she was like glue to me, right up against me. If I stopped petting, she'd climb on my lap. She did well with all handling tests. She was very playful and excited during play. It did take me a moment to settle her back down. She would jump around, sometimes on me, and was slightly mouthy but wasn't making much contact and always with soft teeth. During her food test, I was able to remove the bowl and push against her muzzle. She laid down when I blocked her from the bowl and asked for a sit. She showed minimal interest in cats and has lived with a cat. We even tested her with an angry cat who was making some threatening noise and she ignored it. Skye was dog tested with a friendly male and a standoffish female. She really loved the other dogs. She was very pushy to meet and pushy with her interaction. She did show some submissive qualities with the male, basically her wanting him to interact with her. She was very playful and loose during the meets. Skye has a lot of energy and would benefit being placed with a dog that matches her energy and play. Skye was treated to a day at the park with one of our foster families and she was great hiking and swimming, a totally fun loving pupper!
