MESHAC's Story...
Meet MESHAC, a 4 yr old standard poodle who weighs about 48 lbs. His owner passed away, and he needs time to adjust to his surroundings and will walk and move slowly when in a strange environment. As he gets to know his foster dad, he becomes quite excited when he comes home and will spin and scamper for a greeting.

MESHAC is not one to play with toys, but he does love to go for walks. He needs a new home where someone will be with him most of the time to reassure him that he is loved and has a forever place to live.

MESHAC is currently being fostered in BREVARD county. To learn more about adopting him, go to www.coastalpoodlerescue.org/poodles/poodledetail.cfm?dogID=1471

APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM FULL/PART-TIME RESIDENTS OF FLORIDA AS A HOME VISIT IS REQUIRED; NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN FLORIDA, PLEASE LOOK FOR RESCUE GROUPS IN YOUR HOME STATE. WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION.

Can't adopt right now? Consider becoming a foster home for a rescue dog; it's temporary, but very fulfilling and your only cost is their food! Fill out a volunteer application from our website at www.coastalpoodlerescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MESHAC, a Melbourne Poodle (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Standard) for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Poodle (Standard) dog from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Standard) breeders who help with Poodle (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
