Mitchell is a male brown tabby domestic short hair, born in April 8th, 2011.
Arabella was a pregnant stray who found her way to the feeding station of a managed feral cat colony. It was obvious to the caretaker that Arabella must have had a home once, as she was a very friendly cat who loved people. Unfortunately, Arabella didn't get along well with the other cats. Arabella and her 5 kittens came to Kitty Corner to wait for their forever homes. Arabella has been adopted, but her son Mitchell is at Kitty Corner waiting for his forever home along with his litter mates Brannigan (brown tabby male) and Bettina (black and white female). His litter mates Garth and Whittiker have been adopted.
Mitchell is very shy with strangers. He is scared of new people and new situations, and frequently hides when people come to adopt. We've found that treats often overcome his fear of people, and he becomes quite bold when the cat treats are passed around - so there's potential for him to be a more friendly cat, it will just take time and patience. Mitchell will need a very patient person to bring out the sweet personality that hides beneath his fear.
Mitchell gets along well with the other cats, and would probably appreciate having a feline sibling to play with.
Mitchell needs some love and stability in his life to turn him into the perfect pet. He would be a wonderful 'project' for someone who enjoys working with shy animals and seeing them blossom. All he needs is love and patience. Can you give Mitchell the love and nurturing he needs? Please call us today to come and meet him!
