Jingles's Story...
Jingles is a special dog and needs a special family. He was rescued by a young woman who saw him being hit by a car. Fortunately, he was not injured. However, Jingles is blind, and has been for some time. The eye doctor thinks he may only see some shadows; however, that does not slow him down! His senses of hearing and smell enable him to navigate quite easily and he can find his way around the house, to the water bowl, food dish and outside. The sound of his name brings him running and he can smell out the presence of his human without fail.

Jingles is active, gets along with other dogs and will engage in play quite readily. He is happiest, however, when in a lap (he doesn't quite fit), or sleeping in bed. He is very loving, and enjoys gives many slurpy kisses. He wiggles joyfully when petted. Because of his lack of vision he would do best in an adult home but he is a super dog and just wants to be someone's best friend.

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jingles, a Schertz Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Schertz, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Schertz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schertz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schertz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schertz paves the way for another one to be saved.
