My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET ZEUS! Our gorgeous addition to the community house.

Zeus came to us from a private owner who was no longer able to keep him, due to a recent addition of a puppy, and his discomfort with it.

Zeus is incredibly vocal, not in meow's, but growls a gravelly runble when he hears me but cant see me, then he turns his head upside down, and starts squeaking like, and growling, and puring all at once. He makes 3 adorable chirps when talked to. He is very amusing.

He is a big boy, very beautiful coloring, did you see his handlebar mustache?? It's the finest, and the most magnificent I've seen to date!

He would likely prefer to be the only male cat his age, but that remains to be seen once he is free to make new frieinds in the house. He will undergo a week long "through the cage" socialization to become comfortable with those around him before we know for sure. He may adjust to an older or younger female. He likes to be the center of attention, I think he will make a fine member of the household!

We focus on placing our cats and kittens in caring, responsible INDOOR ONLY homes. Potential adoptors should email us for an adoption application, and tell us a little about the life you can offer one of these wonderful felines. You will also need to supply the name and phone number of your veterinarian. We will be happy to arrange a visit for you!

Adoption fee for Zeus is $95.00 which will cover the cost of FeLv/FiV testing, microchip, worming and vaccinations, including rabies, and care while he is with us.

This is a real savings over neutering, declawing (ouch), vaccinating and testing a cat, which could cost close to $300!

We are always in need of help for those who come needing medical treatment! Please visit our webpage at www.achance4cats.com to see the many we have helped with your contributions! Can you help today??

We are temporarily closed to new kitties, due to the ever growing balance at our generous vet. It seems only fair to repay our costs for those we have already helped before asking them to treat new paitents at this point. We will need to raise $1600 to reopen. $5, $10, it adds up very quickly and we will be back to helping those in need.

Altternatly donations can be made to Broadway Animal Hospital at

(509) 765-3481 they are open 9-5 on Saturday too! Our goal is to lower our balance below $500, so that we do not have to hesitate to lend a hand to the next unfortunate homeless kitty we meet!

PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR ANIMALS!

THERE IS A CONSTANT AND GREAT NEED FOR VOLUNTEER FOSTER HOMES!!! WE ARE CONTACTED ALMOST EVERY DAY WITH HEALTHY ADOPTABLE CATS WE MUST TURN AWAY, AS MANY TIMES, WE HAVE NO SPACE AT THE RESCUE. FOSTERING CAN BE FOR A WEEKEND, A WEEK OR A MONTH, BUT CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN SAVING A LIFE! WE PROVIDE FOOD AND VET SERVICES. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
We are a non-profit, locally run, no-kill feline Foster/Rescue Operation. Our cats are placed in homes throughout Moses Lake and and surrounding areas. If you have time and love to give, please email us to inquire about becoming a foster family. Thank you!
