She was surrendered to us when her family moved and couldn't take her with them. She is up to date on all her shots and spayed. Anything else you need to know about her?
She seems to be ok with some smaller dogs (mostly chihuahuas) but when people find out she isn't good with bigger dogs they are not interested in meeting her. She is getting incredibly stressed out being here at the shelter.
My interns and I have started her on a behavior modification training program which has helped a bit. This little firecracker of a dog has a lot of obedience under her belt and is a very fast learner!
She has just been here so long that she is starting to lose weight and show signs of kennel stress.
I love this little girl to death and would take her in a heartbeat if I could. Unfortunately I have my own pit bull with some baggage at home.
Precious would make a wonderful family dog albeit the only dog in the household. I've never met a dog who loves people so much. I think she would do wonderfully with people of all ages. She must think she's a chihuahua because all she wants to do is sit in your lap. She is housetrained and very very smart.
She's an absolute darling and watching her go downhill the way she has is heartbreaking.
Her previous family said she also lived with cats.
Precious certainly lives up to her name! This itty bitty little 5 year old Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull mix is an absolute darling... we call her our "pint-sized Pit." at just about 40 pounds
BEST THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES:)
Since she's been here since October of 2010, we've come to know quite a bit about her. Precious' favorite spot to be is on your lap! Second best to that is rolling around on a nice soft bed making charming little grunting noises.
Precious is going to add laughter and spark to any family, but the one catch is that she needs to be an only pet. Precious has shown that should would definitely chase cats who run from her, and while she is tolerant of some smaller dogs, she has had bad experiences with other dogs in the past and should not live with any.
Precious is an adorable little sparkler and can't wait to make her new family very happy!
