Dolly's Story...
Dolly is one of the "Our Gang" litter who was found as small kittens living under the steps to a business. She is a little shy and independent but very sweet and incredibly quiet. She is loving, easy to handle and quite curious about everything around her. If you are interested in knowing more about her personality, please contact her foster, Cheri at 528-7513.

The first step in adoption is to complete an Adoption Request form which we use to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment. You can request an electronic one at: pawsok@sbcglobal.net. This cat is currently in a loving foster home but can be made available for you to meet in a couple of select locations across OKC after the Adoption Request form has been completed. All our cats and kittens are litter box trained, up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. The adoption fee is $70 (cash only).

If you would like to preview the cats and kittens we may have recently rescued but who aren't quite ready for adoption yet check out our Facebook page. Thanks for considering a rescue - they make the BEST pets!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dolly, a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
