found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
January 23, 2007 - Meet Joan! Joan is a 10 week old pup who turned up at the same shelter as Jack, Jill & Josh. Because the shelter was very crowded, they were all bunking together. To the best of our knowledge, she is a GSD/Hound X.
Joan is a friendly pup that loves to run and play. She has a wonderful personality. She is a little reserved when meeting new people (like a lot of pups are), but quickly warms up. She loves to roll around and play, and is not at all intimidated by the larger dogs in her foster home.
Joan is utd on routine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. She will be spayed on Friday, and ready for her forever home soon after.
Joan must go to a home where she will live inside as an important member of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21.
We require that puppies under 6 months of age be flown to their new home. This reduces the stress, and prevents your puppy from being exposed to a wide variety of other dogs for 2 days on the ground transport. While adults do not have problems with this, it's hard on puppies and your new family member will be with you in a matter of hours instead of days!
The total cost would be $527-$537:
$350 to the rescue:
$250- adoption fee
$50- health/acclimation certificate fee required by the USDA for all animals crossing state lines- by ground or by air
$50-$60- Pet Taxi Portable Kennel (depending on size of your puppy!)
$177- Delta's Pet First airline fee- paid directly to airline upon pickup
The cost for the flight is just $52 more than the ground transport ($125) we use for adult dogs: P.E.T.S.!
