SOPHIE's Story...

SOPHIE: The right choice!

Born straight into fostercare on December 4th, 2006, SOPHIE has been loved & well-socialized since Day One. All eight dogs in the litter were adopted, but in Sophie's case, her family could no longer keep a dog (not just this dog, any dog.)

Sophie is what we call an 'insta-pet.' She is housetrained & has been through obedience training & is a smart & loving little miss. She's been back in fostercare on a small family farm living amongst kids, other dogs, cats & horses for approximately 6 weeks. She is totally ready for a chance at a forever-forever home.

Cute as can be with a mixture of Border Collie & Australian Blue Heeler breeds, we call Sophie a rambunctious intellectual! She needs room to run, run, run while think-think-thinking!

If you need a little more love in your life from the paws of a eight month old like this one, & if you want to give a little more love from your life to our puppy friend, please contact Beckey, the foster mom, via email. She can send you an application.

The adoption fee for this instapet is $155.00

Thanks for visiting our girlie Sophie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SOPHIE, a Cincinnati Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
