My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Larry is a 7 yr old flat-coated retriever who found himself at a local shelter. His owner surrendered him due to financial strains. Larry had a slight limp on his rear leg and he was scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter.

Knowing how wonderful this breed can be, we saved Larry and brought him to our rescue. A vet visit determined Larry to be healthy and with a few anti-inflammatories, Larry's leg was better.

Larry is a typical flat coated retriever. He is the best, good natured, easy-going guy in the house. He gets along with all the other dogs in the house no matter the age or the size. I don't think Larry even realizes he is the biggest dog in the house! He loves to be talked to and gives kisses when asked.

Larry is so well mannered -- he never jumps on people, he uses the doggie door, never barks and is always willing to accept a hug and pat on the head.

Larry would make someone a wonderful companion.

We are just asking for a $125 donation to pay for Larry's vet care and to help our other dogs. But mostly, we are asking for a loving, caring home for Larry for the rest of his life. If you will be his best friend, he will be yours. He won't let you down!
