Sally Sue - 6 year old female Schnauzer mix. Sally Sue was adopted 5 years ago but her family situation has changed, she'd do best in an adult only home. Sally Sue likes love and attention, friendship, patience, and understanding; and singing to her! She enjoys long walks; short runs; squeaky toys. She is the perfect dog for indoor activities. She is seeking patience and understanding. She wants a friend, someone to hang out with (even if it's just to sleep in the same room where someone is working). She is a great outdoor companion. She can do 3-mile jogs or go on five-mile walks! Sally Sue would make a lovely companion pet. Sally Sue is approximately 24 pounds, she is 17 inches high is spayed and has up-to-date vaccinations. If interested in Sally Sue, please contact Beatriz at poorlittledog@yahoo.com.

Who We Are
Our Mission
In the greater Los Angeles County shelters alone an average of 475 pets are euthanized daily. There just aren't enough homes for them all. Our mission is to help provide animals a second chance to have a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation. We save dogs in need and provide them with proper care and foster homes while they await adoption. We evaluate the dogs the best we can in order to place them into loving homes that best suits their needs as well as potential adopters needs. We also try to educate the public on how to be responsible pet owners and the on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. The only real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets. And please remember before you adopt a pet, the committment needs to be for the lifetime of the pet... if you can't make that type of commitment, please rethink getting a pet. The shelters are full of animals there were once adopted or purchased by people who may have had the best intentions at that time but just didn't give enough thought about it being a 12-18 year commitment.

Our Adoption Policies
There is an adoption donation fee which ranges from $250-$350 (although seniors and special needs pets may be adopted at a reduced fee). The adoption fee must be paid via check or cash, we do not accept credit cards. The adoption fee is used to help offset some of the cost needed to operate our rescue organization. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, vet checked, vaccinated and dewormed prior to placement. There is a grace period of two weeks (one week for puppies under 4 months) for refund of the adoption fee if the animal should need to be returned to us. We have an adoption contract which requires you to contact Miniature Schnauzers & Friends Rescue if at anytime you should no longer be able to keep your pet. Pets adopted through Miniature Schnauzers & Friends Rescue can not be sold, traded, given away or disposed of in any way. Although all of our animals are thoroughly evaluated, we cannot guarantee their health or temperament.
Click here for a printable copy of our dog application form.
PLEASE NOTE: Filling out an application DOES NOT guarantee an adoption. We have thoroughly evaluated all of the animals in our care, and try very hard to match the right pet to the right person and situation. We reserve the right not to adopt.
